Week2 - Objectives

What is a classical argument?
- It is the basic form of persuasive argument.
- It should have five parts: introduction, narration, confirmation, refutation, and
  conclusion
- Introduction : to warm up to the audience, to establish a connection or rapport with the   audience, and to state the general claim of the argument.
- Narration : to provide a summary of the background information relevant to the
  argument, to outline the circumstances, and to produce your own arguments
- Confirmation : to give the supporting evidence to the claim
- Refutation : to provide the counter-arguments and address them appropriately as
  strengthening your argument
- Conclusion : summarize the main points and reiterate the claim, and to appeal your
  arguments
